Automated Logistics Address Validation with AddressID

Validate an address once. Reuse the trusted result whenever it appears again.

AddressID validates incoming logistics addresses before they are used in operational processes. It checks whether an address can be verified, completes missing address information where possible and identifies previously validated locations when new orders contain slightly different versions of the same address.

Validated locations receive Master status and become trusted reference addresses for future orders. If an address cannot be determined with sufficient certainty automatically, a user can validate it once and add the confirmed result to the Master address database.

What is AddressID?

AddressID is a logistics address-validation feature inside of Logichainge Data Quality. It is designed to turn incomplete, inconsistent or slightly different versions of a location into reliable address data that can be reused throughout future order processing.

For addresses that require external verification, AddressID uses up-to-date maps to determine whether the location exists and to retrieve missing address information where available. When an address can be validated with sufficient certainty, the validated result can receive Master status and become a trusted reference for future incoming orders.

How does automated address validation work?

Incoming addresses are checked to determine whether Logichainge can associate them with a trusted location. AddressID can use existing Master addresses as references and uses online databases to verify addresses and retrieve missing details where external validation is required.

When an exact result is not available, AddressID can use similarity to identify a likely address. If the system cannot determine the correct address with sufficient certainty, it does not automatically treat that result as trusted. The address is instead presented for human validation.

What does automated address validation improve?

Correct or avoid inconsistencies caused by typing errors, missing information and different address formats.

Fewer address errors

More consistent order data

Use one trusted representation of a location even when customers submit slightly different versions of the address.

Less repeated manual validation

Validate uncertain locations once and reuse the resulting Master address when sufficiently similar addresses appear again.

Better downstream data

Send cleaner and more consistent location information to the TMS or other operational systems receiving the processed order.
